Things to check...
- Use the remote control near the unit
- Point the remote control at the remote sensor on the unit
- Remove the obstacles between the remote control and the unit
- Replace the battery in the remote control with a new one

Step 1: Remove the battery from the remote control
Step 2: While the battery is out, press and hold the power button on the remote for 25 seconds
Step 3: Re-insert the battery and check if the remote control is functional
